Project Manager Heather McDougall has built on her formative years as a cellist, delving into many aspects of the music industry. Following her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester and Eastman School of Music, Heather managed several community music projects throughout Chicago, working for both the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Sherwood Conservatory of Music. After relocating to Ireland in 2003, she got her start in public media — in production for RTÉ lyric fm and in planning and artistic administration for the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. While in Ireland, she sojourned into the festival world, too, spending two years with that little gem on the edge of Europe, the West Cork Chamber Music Festival, and completed a M.Phil. Digital Humanities and Culture at Trinity College Dublin. As Project Manager, she keeps herself busy minding the many programs the WFMT Radio Network produces and syndicates — looking after contracts, production workflows and connecting all the dots between Network staff. When not on the job, you can find her out and about in Chicago’s Loop giving tours of the city’s skyscrapers.
